How to make donuts?
To make perfect donuts, you need … the perfect recipe. So prepare:
- 40 g fresh yeast
- 1/2 kg of flour
- 1 cup milk
- 4 tbsp water
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 2 tbsp margarine
- 3 yolks
- 60g sugar
- pinch of salt
- 3 tablespoons powdered sugar
- teaspoon raspberry juice or food coloring
- colored sprinkles for decoration
Pour yeast with warm water and mix thoroughly with a tablespoon of sugar until completely dissolved. Leave in a warm place until a foam forms (about 10 minutes).
Then mix all the ingredients in a bowl with a mixer: flour, sugar, milk, butter, yolks, salt and yeast until a uniform mass resembling plasticine is formed.
Cover with a cloth and let stand for 2 hours. When the dough has risen, it should be rolled out to a thickness of about 1 cm and cut out with a glass of donuts – cut a smaller hole with a glass. Cover the cut circles again and leave for another 30 minutes.
Fry in 170 degrees for a few minutes on each side.
How to prepare chocolate donuts?
You can choose to make chocolate donuts all over again by adding cocoa or chocolate pieces to your recipe. An easier way, however, is to add chocolate coating, which will not only give your donuts a delicious chocolate flavor, but may also “save” too dry donuts.
The recipe for chocolate coating – extremely simple – can be found below:
- 1/3 bar of dark chocolate
- 1 teaspoon of coconut oil
- 1 teaspoon maple syrup
To create such a coating, you melt the chocolate in a coconut oil water bath and finally add maple syrup. You hold the donuts in your hands and dip a moment in chocolate. You sprinkle with toppings before the topping freezes – they will stick. You can use glace stars or powder buttons, or whatever that comes to your mind as some great decorations.
